Our Mission

The Great Falls Police Community Foundation Inc. was established in 2007 by business and civic leaders as an independent, non-profit organization.

The purpose of the Foundation is to support and promote public safety through partnerships that provide resources to help the GFPD perform at its highest level of service to the community.

Public safety is the most important service city government can provide to its citizens.  We see the foundation as the perfect conduit for the community to express its support for the police department.  The money raised by the Foundation supports programs designed to help the GFPD keep pace with rapidly evolving technology, strategies and training.  The Great Falls Police Community Foundation provides resources that are not readily available through other means – to date, over $295,000 has been invested in the GFPD programs and equipment.

  • Serves as a vehicle for tax-exempt gifts and grants from individuals, businesses, and philanthropies.
  • This municipal foundation serves as a model for similar organizations in other cities.
  • The only organization authorized to raise funds on behalf of the GFPD.

The Foundation is a sustaining organization that will operate for years to come. We work closely with the GFPD’s administration to align our fundraising efforts with equipment needs and services not currently covered by the City budget.

Public safety cannot rest on the shoulders of law enforcement agencies alone. As much as we all need the police, they need our support as well. Please join us in our important work by contributing as generously as you can. Contributions to the Foundation are tax-deductible under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
